Charlotte's Carolinas Aviation Museum will soon feature the famous Airbus A-320 that pilot Chesley Sullenberger landed safely in the Hudson River after the plane struck a flock of birds on January 15, 2009. US Airways Flight 1549 was bound for Charlotte Douglas International Airport when the bird strike occurred. Shortly after it was reported that all 155 passengers and crew had survived the dangerous landing and evacuation, New York Governor David Paterson was quoted as saying "We had a miracle on 34th Street. I believe now we have had a miracle on the Hudson." The iconic plane will be reassembled in the museum's hangar.
